South Summit, a global entrepreneurship and innovation platform, announces the arrival of the
“Scaleup Series” in Lisbon, in collaboration with IE University. The event,
scheduled for April 18th at the “Beato Innovation District”, will bring together investors and scaleup leaders to provide business and investment opportunities among the main agents of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
South Summit, organizer of one of the largest European innovation and entrepreneurship events, in Madrid, will hold the first edition of the “Scaleup Series” in Lisbon. An event that will bring together renowned investors, scaleup leaders and sector experts to discuss trends, challenges and investment opportunities in the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The program will include a series of panels and presentations, covering topics such as the future perspectives of the Iberian ecosystem, growth strategies for scaleups and the latest investment trends. In addition, there will be opportunities for networking and interaction between participants, promoting even closer collaboration between the various players in the sector.
After editions held in several European cities, the “Scaleup Series” arrives in Lisbon with the aim of strengthening Iberia's entrepreneurial ecosystem and boosting the development of new business and investment opportunities in the region. This event represents a unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs to connect with investors, mentors and other professionals in the sector, aiming to leverage growth and innovation in the market.
South Summit's main event is the South Summit Madrid, co-organized by IE University, which welcomed more than 36,000 startups throughout its eleven editions. Its Startup Competition also produced 7 unicorns, among more than 1,000 finalist startups, with a survival rate of 90% and more than 15,007 million dollars in investment raised.
This year's edition of South Summit Madrid will take place between June 5th and 7th, 2024 under the motto “Human by Design” and will feature, among others, the participation of Steven Bartlett, creator of the most listened to podcast in Europe and Marc Randolph, co-founder and first CEO of Netflix.
